1. Register with Liverpool Central School District
2. Complete Home Language Questionnaire (HLQ)
3. Meet with ENL teacher
4. Student takes NYSITELL
5. Student identified as an ELL or a non-ELL
When a new family registers with LCSD, they fill out a Home Language Questionnaire (HLQ). If a language other than English is spoken at home, the family will meet with an ENL teacher to decide if the New York State Identification Test for English Language Learners (NYSITELL). The results of the NYSITELL will determine if the child qualifies for ENL services.
