The Mission of the LHS Counseling Department is to promote the academic, social/emotional, and career development of all students in the school community. We want to work with you to help our students reach their full potentials. Our hope is that each student will leave LHS with a deeper understanding of not only their community, but also the world in which they live.

Counseling services are provided by ten school counselors. Students are assigned to school counselors by the first letters of the student's last name. The counselor/student ratio is approximately 1:240. Specialized services are also provided by school social workers and school psychologists.
