About 250 years ago Ben Franklin discovered a way to gather electricity from nature. There are approximately 2 Billion people without electricity on Earth. Our population is tiny compared to this number. Look at the population numbers to see how our country is growing. Yet our country with all it's technological advancements is about 6 times smaller than those on Earth who do not have these technologies. It is something to think about!

Science and Technology Discussion Forum This is a cooperative venture of the Science and Technology departments of Liverpool Middle School. All students, parents, family members and teachers of LMS students are invited to post opinions and comments on the forum. The goal is to introduce current topics from the world of Science and Technology to the students that are not normally addressed in the classroom. Some topics may be controversial but we feel that it is important knowledge for the students who will soon be taking an active role in our society. This is intended as an extra credit exercise and students will be encouraged, but not required, to make posts or to participate in the discussion. All posts will be approved by a teacher prior to being visible on the web. Questions or concerns about the use of this site can be addressed to Mr. Christopher at brian_christopher@liverpool.k12.ny.us.
