Blueprint for ELLs

The Blueprint for English Language Learners' Success was recently adopted by the State of New York, and was rolled out to all teachers. This document states that ALL teachers are teachers of ELLs, and that we must work collaboratively to ensure ELLs are making the progress that all students are making. It also states that school districts are responsible for understanding and caring for not just academic needs of ELLs, but social, emotional, and linguistic needs of ELLs. It ensures that all students, including ELLs, are represented and supported in each district and classroom.

The Blueprint can be found here.
