Dr. Ali Rida Ismail is a university lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics Department at the Lebanese International University (LIU), School of Engineering. He earned his B.S. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the Lebanese University (Beirut, 2016), his M.S. in Control Systems and Information Technology from Grenoble Alpes University (Grenoble, 2018), and his Ph.D. in AI and Circuits Design from Lorraine University (Nancy, 2022).
After a brief teaching experience at the University of Lorraine in France, he joined the LIU in 2024, where he has delivered a wide range of courses, including Electric Circuits, Control Systems, Industrial Electronics, Power Generation and Control, Power Systems Transmission, Power Systems Distribution, and Power Modeling.
He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Jean Lamour Institute (Nancy, 2022), a postdoctoral guest at the University of the West of Scotland (Glasgow, 2022), and a postdoctoral researcher at LEOST (Lille, 2023–2024). His research interests include control systems, power systems, machine/deep learning, signal and image processing, and data simulation. He is proficient in programming and engineering tools, including Python, MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and VHDL, with a strong background in physics and mathematics.
