Prof. Adnan Harb is the chairman of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Lebanese International University (LIU). He joined LIU in October 2011.

 He received his Master in Applied Sciences (M.Sc.A.) and Ph.D. both in Miroelectronics from the Electrical Engineering Department of Polytechnique Montreal in 1995 and 2004, respectively. He has worked for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Lausanne, Switzerland) as a research assistant, for Pultronics as an analog design engineer, for Canadian Revenue Agency as a scientific advisor, for ST Microelectronics as a senior analog design engineer, and for Diablo technologies as a high-speed IC custom layout design engineer. In 2004, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering of UAE University as  assistant professor.

Prof. Harb has published more than 80 papers in his research interest fields of analog and mixed signal integrated circuit design, energy harvesting, and engineering education. He is also reviewer for several international journals and conferences. Dr. Harb is an IEEE Senior Member, and member of the Order of Engineers and Architect in Lebanon.

 Prof. Harb is the designer of the first chip in UAE. The chip will have a number of uses but its primary purpose will be in medical application. The chip size is 1.78 x 1.28 mm2 and was fabricated with 0.35 um CMOS technology. Read more ....
