Stay Creative Initiative
Inspiring students to establish their creative endeavors and strive to keep leadership evident in their communities. All innovative work is the perfection of creativity
-Creative Pursuits Team
What is the Stay Creative Initiative?
The Stay Creative Initiative encourages students throughout our community to not only donate or share their work with Creative Pursuits Magazine but also to inspire others to participate in creative workshops and leadership events. The goal is to make student talent, creativity, leadership, and passion known in our community, and this initiative encompasses this aspiration. We will work to work with the LHS Student Council to set up events as well!
What is the Creative Pursuits Magazine?
In 2022, the Creative Pursuits Magazine was created to inspire students to showcase their artistic, creative, and passionate talents. This year, we will be showcasing a combination of Student Council events, Stay Creative Initiative updates, and student achievements. The major part of this initiative is to highlight the students, not just the events that we put together. It should be evident that this initiative is solely aimed at inspiring leadership and creativity. The magazine was created by Molly Donahue, class of 2025, in the 2022-2023 school year. She aimed to spread a crusader spirit throughout the high school and to give students the ability to share their own creativity in this magazine. We hope to be doing the same for many years to come here at LHS.
Meetings
We will be meeting after school twice a month on Fridays from 3:00-4:00 pm. We will be discussing the future magazine publication and submitting the magazines by the end of each month, starting this November 29, 2025. If you have any questions or would like to join the magazine's editing team, please contact Maggie Donahue (contact information below).
Community Contribution
The purpose of this initiative, as stated before, is to inspire individuals to partake in their own, unique, creative ambitions. However, a big takeaway from this initiative is to inspire individuals to develop a sense of community and to strengthen the overall environment, socially. This is a great opportunity for students interested in getting community service hours as we will be participating in many events.
