Math! It is all around us. To be a good mathematician we need to practice the basics, our facts. Think about it this way, Tom Brady, one of the greatest quarterbacks had to put in time and effort to know and understand the basics of football before he could become one of the best quarter backs of all time. And it wouldn't surprise me if he still goes back to the basics to ensure a strong foundation. So in order for us to reach the highest levels of math we want to reach we all need to make sure we have a strong foundation and that starts with knowing our math facts inside and out.
