KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM PROGRAMS

In my classroom, I follow the Daily 5 method which encourages students to take ownership of their learning. With scaffholding, students are able to complete 5 different literacy tasks each day: Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing and Listen to reading. While students are completeing their Daily 5 activities, the teachers are meeting with small groups to focus on targeted skills through guided reading. We currently use the Journeys Reading program.
