We had a great week at Little Flower. Everyone is getting settled into routines and learning the expectations. Students in grades 3-8 completed the iReady Inform for math this week. Students in K-2 completed the NWEA assessments in both ELA and Math. As school gets underway, we are looking forward to watching the growth that our students will make this year because they were CREATED FOR MORE!

📰 Important News & Information

Mass with Archbishop Thompson

We are very excited to welcome Archbishop Thompson to celebrate Mass with us on Tuesday, September 1st. This Mass will celebrate our 100th Year! Please join us for this wonderful occasion. We will also have many guest priests concelebrating. Mass will start at 9 am on September 1st instead of the usual 8:30 am. Students should be in their regular uniform with their uniform logo polo. No house shirts! Join us!

Tuition Reminder

REMINDER: TUITION PAYMENTS DUE MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2026

Thank you to all families who have made their tuition payments. If your family is not on FACTS for tuition, and you have not already paid at least half of your total tuition, this is a reminder to send in your payment on Monday, August 31, 2026. Boys Basketball Registration

Ready to shoot your shot? Registration for the new basketball season is live!

The cost to play is $70. Please register online: https://orgsonline.com - school code is 165LF-IN. Registration closes on October 1st.

Uniform and Picture Day is Sunday, November 22nd (sometime between 10:30 and 12:30). The boys will begin practicing in late October/early November. Games start at the end of November and go until the end of January.

Parent Meeting Follow-Up

6th Graders translating "pieces" of the "real" Dead Sea Scrolls.

34 started their game last Saturday with Donuts on the Diamond!

2nd grade does a Book Zoo where they visited different habitats to explore genres and find books that they want to read this year.

Cadet Fall Kickball played their final home game on Thursday and ended victorious after a grueling 90-minute game! Our 8th graders were honored at their last home game of the fall season. These young ladies are tough, and we wish them all the best!

The tradition continued today as we blessed our 8th graders. This 8th grade class was the last class that I taught before moving into administration. I look forward to seeing the wonderful things that this group of 8th graders can accomplish this year! Today was great, and I think they may have enjoyed it a little!

Students were asked to be on the lookout for the Little Way in action, and they have been busy! Here is what students saw this week:

Lilly saw Tony and Owen showing integrity by getting right to work in the classroom.
Lilly saw Zack serving the Community by cleaning up someone else's mess in the cafeteria without being asked.
Keegan noticed that Margarita held the door for everyone.
Matilda showed the Little Way by picking up Jayden's binder.
Omar saw Robert help a student pick up his belongings after the student dropped them on the floor.
Nazareth saw Francesca serving the community by picking up trash on the floor
Jacolby recognized Gus for showing the little way by helping him with a math problem.
Maria saw Ryleigh pick up trash that wasn't hers.
Ryleigh saw Laylah helping everyone clean up their scraps after an activity.
Rocket saw Heimy and David hold the door for the class at separate times.
Maria saw Cora helping Nazareth during group work.
Abby noticed Pablo give the bouncy chair to Ann Mary during recess
Charlotte noticed Anayeli, Milena, and Clara showing the Little Way by picking up her pencils that fell.

🍎 Principal's Corner

Dear Little Flower Families,

🎉 A few highlights from around our school this week:

Mrs. E enjoyed the sunshine during recess this week. K-2 played a few jokes on me along the way, but it was a joy spending time with them!
As we settle into routine and start our curricula, classes are putting a unique spin on some lessons. For example, Mrs. House set up a Book Zoo for students to explore different genres and see which books they might want to read this year. It also helps them find good-fit books along the way. Mr. Wilson had 6th graders translating copies of the Dead Sea Scrolls! Mrs. Tromiczak's 8th graders are well into their first novel of the school year called "The Refugee".
Middle School students started their enrichment groups this week. Their options included coding, podcasting, debate, newspaper, growth lab, airplane/rockets/boats, band, and prayer group. These options will help to expand their knowledge while providing more hands-on opportunities.
We celebrated Mass on Tuesday, and it was Father Joseph's last Mass with us before he returned to the Vatican for work. We were so blessed to have him with us as we started the school year.
