LFCA Charities

LFCA MISSIONS:

*Missions Moment:

-In April, we donated school supplies and masks to the students returning to school through the KY Refugee Ministry.

-In March and April, we made and delivered Easter candy bags to Portland Neighborhood House and our elderly LFCA friends.

-January Mission Project: Snacks for Portland Neighborhood House Seniors and Zoneton Fire Department

-Our December project was collecting items for Christmas goody bags for the attendees and staff at the Hillview Adult Day Center.

-Our November project was food for our church's food pantry as well as filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

-Our October project was providing goody bags and becoming pen pals with the seniors at Portland Neighborhood House.

-In September, we served as a part of LF Serve day. 6th grade helped get prepared and other volunteers helped. Much needed work was done in our storage and athletic areas and our students spent time over the past weeks writing letters and making cards for missionaries and for military care packages.

-Participating in fundraisers for school missions opportunities (ongoing)

-Donating to Crusade for Children (May)

Bullitt Co. Sheriff, Pioneer Village Police, Hillview Police- provide goody bags

Yard Work for Neighbors- middle school

Purchasing and delivering groceries to neighbors- staff

Shepherdsville and Zoneton Fire Dept.- provide & serve lunch

Salvation Army- Angel Tree & Red Kettle Bells

Perform Charlie Brown Christmas at Bullitt County Libraries- 5th grade

Dare to Care- schoolwide food drive; 8th grade help at warehouse

Waterstep- help sort shoes

Washington, DC- 8th grade mission trip- Children of Mine after school center,

Martha’s Table, Central Union Mission, DC Central Kitchen, Capital Area Food Bank

Shop for, assemble, and deliver necessity bags to homeless ministries

Assembling & deliver “Cookies for Christ” to neighbors, shut ins, police and fire stations

Assist with monthly Joy Group meetings at church

Donate filled shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse- Operation Christmas Child

Donate change for Crusade for Children with Zoneton Fire Department
