In Kindergarten we discover our singing voices! We practice singing through story books, games and movement. We also work on keeping a steady beat and learning about simple musical concepts.

In 1st grade we practice using our singing voices and also study simple musical symbols, instruments and composers. We practice stage presence through one concert performance.

In 2nd grade we practice singing and deepening our study of notes, rhythms, musical symbols, instruments and composers. We practice stage presence through one concert performance.

In 3rd grade we learn how our voice works as we develop it further. We learn the technical language when discussing different notes and musical symbols. We study specific composers and learn how to play different musical instruments. We practice stage presence through one concert performance.

In 4th grade we learn how to sing more confidently. We practice clapping and writing rhythms. We study instruments. We use specific musical vocabulary and learn about the note names on the staff. We learn how to play the recorder and we study composers in depth. We practice stage presence through one concert performance.
