LITTLE CHUTE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD

NOTIFICATION OF NONCANDIDACY

Notice of Incumbent Who Has Filed Notification of Noncandidacy

The following incumbent school board member whose term of office expires in April 2024 and whose seat will be contested at the 2024 Spring Election has filed a Notification of Noncandidacy, as provided under section 120.06(6)(b)3 of the state statutes:

Name of Incumbent

Joe Roehl

Date Notification Filed

October 25, 2023

The above name reflects filings as of November 27, 2023. The deadline for filing a Notification of Noncandidacy is Dec. 22, 2023.  By filing the Notification of Noncandidacy, the incumbent listed above has given advance notice that they do not presently intend to be a candidate for reelection to their school board office.

Except as otherwise provided under state law, a qualified elector of the School District who wishes to become a candidate and have their name appear on the election ballot for any of the school board seat(s) that will be contested at the 2024 Spring Election must file all necessary forms at the Little Chute Area School District Office, 1402 Freedom Road, Little Chute, WI 54140, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Per the Wisconsin Association of School Boards guidance, an elector of the school district who does not file his or her ballot access documents in time to qualify for the ballot, or who decides to seek office only after the ballot access deadline has already passed, may attempt to run for office as a write-in candidate. The Little Chute Area School District encourages anyone who plans to solicit write-in votes, to complete a Campain Finance Registration Statement (linked below) and submit it to the District Office promptly. Following this recommendation will help with any possible ambiguities in the law and to be included in any list of “registered write-in candidates” that may be produced.

For those planning to file candidate forms, please email Nicole Peyton, Administrative Assistant, at npeyton@littlechute.k12.wi.us as soon as possible.  Additional information will be shared, as well as, scheduling a meeting with the District Administrator. Notice: Candidates who file paperwork correctly and by the deadline will appear on the Spring Election Ballot.
