Google Business Profiles (GBPs) are owned and managed by Google.
They aren't owned by you or business owners. Google also reserves the right to suspend any listing at any time if it deems the listing to be in breach of it's guidelines for representing your business on Google.
If you plan to use GBPs and local SEO for your lead gens or clients, I highly recommend reading the Google's guidelines for representing you business here to avoid as many issues as possible as you go. It's not a super long read and not all will be applicable to you so start at the beginning and see what applies to you/your experience level.
