My general teaching philosophy with the Literacy Council of SWLA is to promote learning by engaging students in their learning environment, promoting higher order thinking skills and respecting their opinions and backgrounds. Another focus is the relationships that I build with my students. Through my many classroom experiences both as a student and a teacher, I have developed a sense for teaching techniques that effectively empower students and create a desire for learning.
Teaching & Learning
What the teacher is, is more important than what he teaches.
