New LACES User Interface

LACES Has a New Look!

LPS Is excited to announce that the LACES User Interface has undergone a complete makeover and is now ready for prime time. The classic green color scheme has been updated to more modern blue/gray colors (but still with a touch of the familiar green). LACES functionality is the same so you will not see any changes in your day-to-day data entry workflows, however, you can now customize your user experience by selecting a theme.

Themes

There are 3 themes for you to choose from - Light, Light (High Contrast), and Dark - depending on your viewing preference.

The default theme is Light (High Contrast), but you can change the theme after signing into LACES. The selected theme will be in effect until you decide to change it, regardless how many times you sign in and out of LACES.

To change your theme:

Hold your mouse over the Person Profile icon, and select Profile.
At the Profile Settings tab, select a theme from the Display Theme drop down menu.
Save.

Skeleton Screens

Another change you will notice is that the spinner has been replaced with skeleton screens. The use of skeleton screens in software development has been widely adopted over spinners to communicate to users the type of content that is loading.

Now, instead of a spinner,

you will see skeleton screens.
