The Firefighter I/Hazardous Materials Awareness - Operational is designed to prepare the student for certification. The course includes the textbook, workbook, on-line access and both the practical and written exam. This is a physically demanding course and students should be in good physical shape. Students are expect to attend all sessions. Below you will find course schedule and the application. The course fee is $1,150.

Exterior Firefighter
The Exterior Firefighter course was developed several years ago to capture an audience that was not being served. As the course developed we determined that it worked best if it was integrated into the Firefighter I program. The blue highlighted dates in the Firefighter I schedule are recommended for the Exterior Firefighter student to attend. A student may elect to attend other dates. This is a non-certification course, but students that attend the required classes will receive a certificate of attendance at the graduation ceremony. The course fee is $375.
