History of the Plan
The first meeting of the county plan was held in December of 1937. In 1997 the plan celebrated it's 60th anniversary. As part of the anniversary celebration a book was produced which included pictures of all the county fire departments. The book was dedicated to Oliver H. Price, secretary of the plan for 33 years. The book also included a narrative of the plans history including the formation of the county fire school. To read the narrative follow the link below.
