Most of the mill work has been completed. Cabinets and counter tops installed in the kitchen and instructors prep room. Shelving in conference room, administration office and storage room off the large classroom have been installed.
Tile work has begun in the bathrooms. First floor bathrooms have wall tiles installed. They are ready to start the floor tiles.
The vestibule for the front entrance was installed this past week. They are still working to install the canopy outside.
The classroom/administration building is required to have an elevator. The elevator track and car have been installed. Work will continue over the next few weeks.
Sidework around the building have been poured. Pads for dumpster, propane tank and generator have also been poured.
An area to training on low-angle rescue was programed into the project. The initial site work was started this week. An access road is being created to the top and an area big enough for a vehicle at the bottom. This will be used to train on accessing vehicles over an embankment.
A three story burn building is being constructed. It will have multiple burn rooms and props. Under the pitched roof will be an attic area with simulated floor joists. The third floor was poured last week. They started the forms for the walls and columns to support the roof. The masons
A five story training tower is being constructed. Each floor was designed for specific training evolutions. There will be sprinkler lab on the first floor. There will be a floor for reduced profile training. Another floor is designed for aerial master stream practice. The building has many anchor points for rope rescue including the capability of a high line between the training tower and the burn building.
