Social and emotional learning can help students learn the competencies and skills they need to build resilience and effectively manage their emotions, behaviour and relationships with others. When we teach children how to control their breathing, we give them the ability to focus, and control their reactions to any situation. In the home learning environment it can be planned breaks to help students refocus and engage in learning.
REMEMBER ....students who feel they are part of a learning community online are less likely to feel alone during this time of social isolation. Teachers who invest the time and effort to develop a sense of community online will have more success engaging students who are learning remotely.
