Hello! My name is Jim Campian, and I have been teaching Art in Lisle CUSD 202 since 2014. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2013 with a BFA in Art with Teacher Certification. In May of 2018, I graduated from Aurora University with a MA in Educational Technology. Over the summers, I had previously worked at the Elmhurst Art Museum as a camp counselor for kids ages 5-11.
I truly love working with kids and am thrilled to take something that I am so passionate about and share it with the Lisle community! My lessons are designed to challenge and engage kids in developing a creative mindset and originality. I plan on reaching out to many different styles of learning by using a wide range of materials such as colored pencils, crayons, printing ink, tempera paint, yarn, scissors, glue, and clay. Students will be exposed to The Elements & Principles of Design along with cultures and civilizations of the past and present as a major part of the art curriculum. I believe in approaching teaching with kindness, compassion, and empathy! I am thrilled to get to know all of my students this upcoming year!
Mr. Campian currently resides on the northwest side of Chicago in Irving Park.
