Compete in Science

UIL Science is a full-spectrum competition of science including biology, chemistry, physics, and more. This competition identifies the best scientists in Texas high schools, with scholarships availible for state-qualifying competitors.

The Coach

As an astrophysicist, engineer, and an Aggie, Liam Plybon has worked with nearly every field of science. Previously, he worked on designing cutting-edge telescopes and dark matter research.

Outside of school, he is the Secretary of the Astronomical Society of East Texas, a NASA Partner Eclipse Ambassador, and an astronomer.
