Get Help

Call Us: Phone Support

Call the LISD Help Desk directly at 903-446-2400 or x2400

If you have a simple question or an emergency - like your tech stops working during a class - this is the fastest way to get help.

Online: Enter a Help Request

Click this link and enter your information and needs.  This may be your best option during times of high call volume or when your request is complex or not time sensitive .  All technology staff see the Help Requests.  So if your campus ITS is tied up,  help desk staff, or a technician may be able to resolve your problem in a more timely manner.

Note: The True Time clock in/out button will appear in your Employee Access AFTER Human Resources and Payroll have completed your setup in Skyward.  If you do not see the True Time button on your first day of work, please contact the Human Resources Department or Payroll.

Skyward Finance Secure Access is controlled at the campus and Business Office level.  The supervisor of your campus or department to must send a request on your behalf to the Data Systems Analyst in Technology (for secure user rights) AND to the Director of Finance (for account clearance).

New Teacher Technology Onboarding

If you are a late hire, you will find much of what you need to know here.

Forgot Password/Reset Password

Be advised, changing your password changes the password for most all LISD programs.  This includes LISD Mail, Skyward Student and Finance, and everything Google.  So, don't forget to update your password on your phone or saved passwords in browsers as you can end up locking yourself out of programs and having to call the Help Desk to unlock the account.

Password Resets: (if you want to change your password and know your current password)

If you are currently logged in to an LISD PC  on LISD network, you can reset your password by pressing Control-Alt-Delete and following the prompts.

Forgot Password For Students:

Call the LISD Help Desk at 903-446-2400 or x2400 .  Be prepared to give the student's name and ID number.

Forgot Password For Staff:

LISD  Help Desk staff are NOT allowed to reset staff passwords.  You must use an LISD device on the LISD network to go to the LISD Lost Password Portal.  If you are unable to reset your password, your supervisor must enter a Tech Help Request on your behalf.

Cisco Phone Help 📞

Make a Phone Call

In-District Calls

Dial the four digit extension of the number, even if the prefix is different.

Prefix? What? All (903) 381-XXXX, (903) 446-XXXX, and (903) 663-7XXX LISD numbers have four digit extensions (that is the XXXX part).

When you are four digit dialing, just ignore the fact that the prefix (The 903, 381, 446, and 663 parts) are different!

The Technology Help Desk's full telephone number is (903) 446-2400, but if you are on a standard Longview ISD telephone, you can just dial 2 4 0 0 to get a friendly voice!

Out-of-District Calls

Put a 9 in front of any "regular" number you want to dial.

If the number you want is (903) 555-1212 then you would dial:  9 9 0 3 5 5 5 1 2 1 2. It is that simple!

Make a Long Distance Telephone Call:

Dial 9 + 1 + your number.

Note: Long distance is not available on all telephones. If your phone does not let you make a long distance call, please ask to use one of the office phones.  Or have the office personel dial the number for you and connect you.

To Access Voicemail and Change Voicemail Options:

To change Password Initially:

To access Voice Mail:

To access Voice Mail from another phone or away from the district:

Settings (to change greetings, password, recorded name, etc.)

To Change User Name and/or Request New Voicemail Setup:

Note: Not all Cisco phones are set up for voicemail.

Your Campus/Department both funds and purchases equipment.

Please consult with your campus administration to determine funding sources for projects.  Many campuses also have grants that may assist with funding different technology initiatives.  Each grant has its own peculiarities as to what and how to purchase.  Please consult with the individuals in charge of the grants.

Bigger Projects:

Upgrading to SMARTboards, upgrading labs, converting rooms, etc. start with talking to campus ITS, the Supervisor of Instructional Technology, or the Technology Director.   There are many things to take into consideration in a larger project.  Such as: furniture, electrical, network, cabling, and if the current network hardware needs to be upgraded to add more connections.  Most larger projects require multiple departments and third party contractors.  If you have a budget in mind, we can tell you what you can get for your money.
