My name is Jessica Gaona. I was born and raised here in little old Longview, TX and graduated from Longview High in 2008. I attended college and graduated in 2014 as a medical assistant. I have worked in pediatrics for some time and enjoyed it. After almost losing my spouse to covid19, I chose to walk away from medical and focus on a new journey in my career- and why not focus on the one thing that got me where I am today? Education! I come from a background were education is not as important as working hard labor, well at least that is how I was raised. I have two younger siblings who both dropped out in the 10th grade. Me, on the other hand pushed on through, and graduated both high school and college and I hope to apply this example to my kids in the future and watch them walk that stage or field.
I am a mother of twin boys: Aiden and Jayden. They will start their Lobo journey this upcoming school year. As for me, I am excited for this new journey and experience here at J.L. Everhart as the school clerk. I hope it opens doors to greater opportunities in the teaching field.
