Welcome!

My name is Liza Salas. I am from Monterrey, N.L. México. I have been teaching in Texas since 2008. As a Kindergarten teacher, I find it very rewarding to see the big sparkles in students’ eyes as they shout out words they have just learned to read!  Every morning as I greet my students, I feel accomplished because I see students who are happy to come to school every day; students who feel safe; students who do not fear failure because they know they can learn from their mistakes; and students who always enjoy learning new things!  My greatest contribution in education has been teamwork. I work with administrators to help reach common goals as a whole. I collaborate with my colleagues to make ourselves better teachers for our students. I partner with parents to ensure positive reinforcement at home of what has been taught at school. Most importantly, I work diligently with my students, giving them my best, my patience and respect.
