Gaining Resonance: Answering the Call to The Gambia
Hey friends,
I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to take a moment to share something God has been stirring in my heart and invite you into a ministry opportunity that I’m both grateful for and humbled to step into.
As many of you know, my calling has always centered on serving the Church—through audio, production, training, and coming alongside leaders so their ministries can thrive. At the core, my heart has always been missions and helping get the most important message in the world—the good news of God’s grace through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ—to as many people as possible (Matthew 28:19–20).
Over this past season, I’ve sensed the Lord prompting me toward a new step. I haven’t always had clarity on what that meant, but I’ve sensed Him saying, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make straight your paths” (Proverbs 3:5–6). I’ve felt that slow but steady nudge that He was opening the door again for missions—something that had been on pause for many years.
For those who don’t know, I previously served with Pastor Craig Lindquist on short-term missions in Entebbe, Uganda, in 2009–2010. I saw God move in powerful ways during that season. From 2010 to 2025, life unfolded quickly—marrying my amazing wife, Maurie; welcoming our children Everly, Jude, Alistair, and Ransom; moving for work and ministry; growing Lionshare Productions; and, more recently, returning to school at Moody Bible Institute for Crisis & Trauma Care. During that time, God did a deep work of healing in me—strengthening my marriage, reshaping my identity, and preparing me for what’s next.
A few months ago, through conversations with leaders connected to ongoing work in The Gambia, I felt the Lord’s voice again—this time more clearly: “Here am I, send me.” (Isaiah 6:8). After prayer, counsel, and confirmation (including from my wife), I believe God is inviting me back into global missions for this next season.
So, I’m planning to join a team traveling to The Gambia at the end of January 2026, partnering with Grace Church and Shared Blessings to support long-term ministry that’s been transforming lives for years.
The Gambia is a beautiful, deeply relational nation in West Africa. Through the Emmanuel Mission Center (EMC) in the village of Lamin, children receive Christian education, meals, medical care, and skills training that many families could never access otherwise.[1] Beyond the EMC, Shared Blessings serves surrounding villages through food distribution, medical outreach, children’s ministry, evangelism, and discipleship alongside local pastors.[2] Their long-term vision includes raising up local leaders and establishing a School of Ministry to equip pastors and workers from within The Gambia.[3]
I’m still praying about the specific assignments for this trip, but my heart is to come alongside leaders, strengthen the mission work already happening, and help remove practical obstacles so people can encounter the Gospel without distraction. We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). That is the heart behind this step.
How You Can Partner With Me
Pray
for clarity, strength, and spiritual covering
for the team and the local leaders we’ll be supporting
for God to use the gifts He’s entrusted to me “to serve one another… in order that in everything God may be glorified” (1 Peter 4:10–11)
Reach Out if You Want Giving Info
I’m handling financial partners personally for transparency and accountability. If you feel led to come alongside in that way, please reach out directly and I’ll share the details.
I’m incredibly grateful for each of you—for every prayer, every conversation, every season where you’ve walked with me. Paul said it best: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you… because of your partnership in the gospel.” (Philippians 1:3–5).
If you’d like to stay updated or receive the full trip info, feel free to reach out anytime.
Grateful for you all,
