Mr. Jolly

Hi. I am Mr. Jolly. I have been teaching at Linwood College for 9  years and am Head of Social Sciences. I have three teenage children and when not taxiing them around I love to play tennis and golf. Prior to entering teaching, I worked in the business world for 15 years, working as an oil trader mainly in London but I also had spells working in Germany, Switzerland, USA, and Russia.  I love to teach and expose the students of Linwood to the business world.

Ms Koop

My name is Sig Koop  and I am originally from Hamburg, Germany, where I studied Art History and History. I was very lucky to turn my passion for travel, art, history and education into a life-long career in tourism which brought me around the world including New Zealand and Australia. Ōtautahi has been home now over 25 years. I have been teaching at Linwood College at Ōtautahi since 2018.

Ms Munro

Ko Kate Munro tōku ingoa.

Hi, my name is Kate Munro  and I am from Whakatāne. I have been teaching at Te Aratai College since 2019 and have taught Geography, Social Studies and Tourism. I have done travelling on a budget in South East Asia, Canada and Europe and love seeing different places and people.  In my spare time I like reading and getting a nature fix.

Miss Eastwick

Kia ora koutou,

My name is Miss Eastwick and this is my second year at Linwood College. I teach social studies, history, tourism, and business studies. I love teaching in the social studies department because there are so many different aspects of the world that we get to look at.

Miss Brorens

My name is Kim Brorens and this is my first year here at Linwood College. I teach junior social studies, geography and tourism. I love anything outdoors , particularly skiing, rock climbing and kayaking. I also really enjoy to travel and have lived in Hong Kong, Australia, Canada and very shortly America.

Mr Cowan

Kia ora Koutou!

I am Mr Cowan and I am a Social Studies and Social Action For Life teacher. I am originally from a town called Paihia in the Bay of Islands, just over the bridge from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. I love teaching Social Studies and Social action as we get to learn how to engage with the world around us!

Ms Perese-Kuil

Talofa Lava,

I am Miss Perese-Kuil and I teach Social Studies and History. I am originally from Auckland, I grew up in Otahuhu before moving into the city right next door to the Sky Tower for university.  I am enjoying getting to know everyone at Linwood College this year.

Mr. Davidson

Kia ora. I have been teaching at Linwood now Te Aratai college for 4  years and teach Business Studies as well as being a Senior Dean. I have three young children that keep me busy at home and when I am not spening time with whanau I can be found out running or playing cricket. Prior to entering teaching, I worked in the business world for 12 years, working as an Operations Manager in the Oil IndustryIt's great to be able to share some of my practical knowledge from this field in the classroom.
