NIOS, a government of India initiative, offers a flexible and learner-centric open schooling. NIOS certificates are equivalent to CBSE, CISCE (ICSE) & State Boards. NIOS follows an Open & Distance Learning model.
Linus provide NIOS classes for COMMERCE & HUMANITIES courses.
COMMERCE:
1. Accountancy Covers principles of accounting, preparation of final accounts, and partnership accounting. Includes analysis of financial statements and accounting for not-for-profit organisations.
2. Business Studies Explores business environment, management principles, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Focuses on corporate governance, consumer protection, and business finance.
3. Economics Introduces microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts including national income, money and banking. Covers Indian economic development, government budgets, and international trade.
4. Choose a minimum of 5 subjects (including at least one language) as per the NIOS Scheme of Studies.
5. Option to choose up to 1-2 additional subjects is available, either at the time of admission or during the course, as per NIOS norms.
HUMANITIES:
1. History Examines Indian history from ancient civilisations through the freedom struggle to modern India. Analyses world history including revolutions, world wars, and the emergence of nation-states.
2. Political Science Studies the Indian Constitution, governance structures, and fundamental rights. Explores international relations, foreign policy, and contemporary political issues.
3. Sociology Investigates social institutions, stratification, and processes of social change in India. Covers topics like family, marriage, caste, urbanization, and globalisation.
4. Choose a minimum of 5 subjects (including at least one language) as per the NIOS Scheme of Studies.
5. Option to choose up to 1-2 additional subjects is available, either at the time of admission or during the course, as per NIOS norms.
10th passed CBSE/ICSE/State Board/any other recognized board or 11th FAIL.
Even learners with no formal schooling can apply with self-certificate
