Scholarship Eligibility

• 3.6 GPA (Class of 2026)

• 3.9 GPA (Class of 2027)

LMHS students achieving these thresholds are invited to apply for membership in early Summer. 

Note: Scholarship eligibility is currently under review for the Class of 2028.

Membership Criteria

• Character: Maintain good disciplinary standing, exemplify positive characteristics, and lead by example.

• Leadership: Hold a formal leadership role, be dependable in all responsibilities, and actively seek out solutions to problems.

• Service: Participate in volunteering initiatives, work well with others, and reliably accomplish tasks.

Application Process

Candidates for membership will receive application materials in early summer. The application will include:

1. A résumé

2. A personal statement

3. A volunteering log (minimum 10 hours in the 180 days prior to submission) with a written reflection of your impact

4. Two letters of recommendation:

• One from a teacher

• One from a reliable adult (not a relative)

• Academics – Maintain at all times a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.60, in accordance with the terms enumerated in the Linn-Mar Student Handbook.

• Chapter Service – Participate in at least three chapter-organized service initiatives per semester.

• Independent Service – Complete at least four extra-scholastic service hours per semester, with a brief reflective write-up submitted to the Executive Board for review at the end of each semester.

• Dues – Pay annual dues as determined by the Executive Board, not to exceed $20.

• Attendance – Attend all required meetings unless formally excused through the proper process.
