Duo is LBCC's Multi-factor Authentication, This is a required security application that helps keep your MyLB student information safe.
Methods available to use for Duo:
Method 1 - Verified Duo Push
This is the quickest and safest method. Install the Duo app on your phone, when you login to MyLB portal you will receive a notification pop up to approve or deny login. What if my phone does not support the Duo app or I can't use a cell phone. Refer to Method 2
Method 2 - Physical Security Key
A physical security key (Yubikey) is a hardware device that connects to your computer. Contact Student Help Desk on how to get a Security Key.
Method 3 - SMS Text
This method is less secure. This option is available to student that do not have a smartphone that works with Duo push. You will receive a text with a passcode to enter.
Method 4 - Phone Call
This method is the least secure. If you have no other options students can receive a phone call that will provide you with a passcode to enter into Duo for MFA.
Method 5 - Temporary Bypass Code
A bypass code can be provided to you for limited use, if your other device has failed for the day. Contact the Student Help Desk, provide proof of ID and a code can be generated for you.
