Hello! My name is Dylan, and this is my second year studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at OSU/LBCC. I am a pre-med student with aspirations of becoming a surgeon. I grew up in Southern California and moved to Oregon in 2024. I'm passionate about music, reading, movies (especially romcoms), and I am obsessed with my cat, Athena. Hey! I'm glad you're here.
I am studying Business Information Systems and computer science at OSU/LBCC. I was born and raised in Oregon, so my favorite hobby is skiing on Mt. Hood. When I'm not skiing, you can find me with a book in my hand or at OSU's yoga studio.
I currently tutor BA 275 (Quantitative Methods) and MTH 251 (Differential Equations). My favorite part about tutoring is connecting with my peers! During our session, we'll spend the first few minutes getting to know each other and your goals. After that, the hour is yours to ask me questions and we'll review whatever content you'd like to go over. My goal is to help each student who meets with me leave feeling confident and satisfied. Sometimes, this may take more than one meeting. But I believe you will get there!
I look forward to meeting you and helping you take the next step toward your success!
Hello! My name is Jacob, and this is my second year as a full-time college student. By the end of this academic year I'm planning to complete my transfer over to OSU where I will continue to work towards my mathematics major. In the future I would like to become a teacher (with any luck I'll eventually be a primary instructor for the courses I'm tutoring right now!). It's a big deal for me to get work experience that's so closely tied to my career path, so I'm super excited to work with you! Outside of math I also enjoy art, jogging, and playing video games.
Hi, my name is Jake. I am currently in the process of applying for programs with the hopes of getting into diagnostic/medical imaging school. I hope to be an MRI tech one day. I enjoy lifting weights, hiking, attending concerts, and listening to music of all sorts.
Hi my name is Jordan, I am currently a second year Math major here at LBCC, planning on transferring to OSU for next year (hopefully by then I’ll be able to answer “What do you do with a Math degree if you don’t want to teach?”). In my free time I’m a homebody primarily reading and playing video games.
Hi! My name is Jose, and I'm an Electrical and Computer Engineering student. I’m originally from Chile, but in 2023 I moved to Oregon after marrying my girlfriend of five years. I’m currently in the dual enrollment program with OSU, working toward my degree, and I hope to one day work on developing renewable energy systems.
This term, I’ll be tutoring MTH 251, which is the foundation of the calculus series. I really enjoy math, problem solving, and helping others understand concepts. I’m looking forward to helping you build a solid base that will set you up for success in future classes as well!
Outside of college, I have a lot of hobbies: ping pong, Rubik’s cubes, yoyos, juggling; you name it. Also, I’m a native Spanish speaker, so if you’re facing a language barrier, don’t let it hold you back. I’m happy to help in either language. Whatever works best for you!

I am Pyra Krussow. I tutor the opening Physics 201-203/211-213 series as well as Stat 243. As a tutor, I like to put emphasis on the process of thinking through the question and building good habits and foundations for going forward, as I often find in my own studies that the hardest part of starting a problem is getting your 'what do i know' and 'how might i go through this' straightened out. Once I do, I find it winds up sailing smoother, and hope to bring that understanding to others! I have also dabbled in programming with Python for the purposes of using in Physics calculations so if you're going through the physics series and having issues with that, I might be able to help. From my experience as well, content from Stat 243 often shows up in other courses like health or business, so don't be afraid to book if you're having problems with statistics in one of those and the Tutoring Center points you my way! The worst that might happen is we both take a bit to figure out something together.
My name is Renea (ruh-nay) and I am a mid-westerner from the mitten of Michigan who grew up in a small rural town and somehow landed in an even smaller rural town in Oregon almost 20 years ago. I firmly believe in the importance of second chances, and third chances and as many as it takes to get it "right." I love music and language arts. I find so much freedom of expression through the written word and I really appreciate that professors often give us students opportunities to showcase who we are and what is important to us in their classes. I work full time as a high school instructional assistant which led me to pursue going back to school to become a high school language arts teacher. I got into education as a career choice with the pure desire to support students. I value supporting students in their education as well as outside of the classroom as individuals.
Ryan is an anthropology major at LBCC who cares deeply about social justice, mutual aid and gardening. They are an embedded tutor for Lauren Visconti's Anthropology 101 class and are also available outside of that to do 1 on 1 support. They work as a peer navigator at the Basic Needs Center at OSU where they run the OSU food pantry, create projects and events, and have peer to peer strategy conversations for addressing basic need challenges. They play guitar and write songs under the name "sprout" and invite you to talk with them about gardening, music or anything anthropology related!

My name is Sara Leathers, and I tutor biology, chemistry, and physics. I graduated from OSU in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physics, and I now work as a lab manager at a company that makes mouthwash and toothpaste. I still take classes from LBCC when I can (often computer science classes), and also spend a lot of time working with the Remotely Operated Vehicle team.
Hello, my name is Sarah Rose and I would love to help you reach your goals this term! I am working on completing my BFA in Photography from Oregon State and am doing so through the Dual Partnership Program (DDP) with LBCC and OSU. I love LB so much and my experience here has galvanized my path. While enrolled at LB I work as the Photo Editor for The Commuter, our student run magazine here on campus. I have the honor of working alongside the amazing staff at the Commuter and have gained valuable experience doing photo assignments for both print and online publications. Some of the Adobe products I feel confident in that may benefit you for tutoring are: Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, CameraRaw, and Bridge. I love shooting sports, and portraits, as well as telling a story or creating meaningful artistic work through photography. My favorite Adobe tool is probably the clipping mask, my favorite food is a good burger (from Squirrels in Corvallis), my favorite activity is paddle boarding, and the last thing I learned was how to wake surf. I would love to meet you to hear how your class is going and hopefully increase your confidence in the subject!
Hi, I’m Shianne! I’m currently working toward getting into the Diagnostic Imaging program here at LBCC. I’ve always had a passion for helping people and a love for biology, so I know the healthcare field is where I’m meant to be. Along with being a student, I work as a barista at Roast Runners on campus—which is a fun way to meet people and stay caffeinated! Outside of school and work, I’m a huge aquarium lover—I have four tanks and love the calm they bring to my space. I also have my pup, Merlin—equal parts cuddle expert, full-time goofball, and the best study buddy a student could ask for.
