Managing the Inbox

Do you have a tutorial published on managing the inbox? WIth the way Gmail manages conversations, it's really tough for me to make sure I follow up on everything that comes in. HELP!

I do! I didn't make it, but it is good.

Making Videos

What's the best video recording tool I should use if I want to record myself and link it to classroom?

Some people have been using PhotoBooth, but many find QuickTime to be better for what they are looking for. Here is a link to instructions that will show you how to do a screen recording (if you want to show people how to do something on the computer) and how to do a movie recording (if you want to use the webcam to record you).

Posting Videos

Where do I post my videos so students can see them? When I attach them to Classroom, or Drive they seem to take forever to get processed.

A good option is to create your own YouTube Channel and upload your videos there. Processing usually takes only a few minutes (depends on length of video), but then they are available right in Google Classroom when you make an assignment, question, or announcement. Below is a link to instructions in making your own YouTube Channel.

How do I combine all of my pdfs for packets into one document?

Luckily, most of you are using a Mac, so you use Preview as your PDF software. Watch this video to see how to use the thumbnails in Preview to turn multiple PDFs into one, or you can read this article from PC Magazine.

How do students answer questions on a PDF if they do not have a printer at home?

AnnotatePDF.mp4

In some cases, like Math where a teacher wants to see the work, the student would need to copy the question on a piece of paper, answer the question, take a picture of the paper and upload it or attach it to turn it in to the teacher.

For other subjects where a student is answering in text, they can use the annotations tools in Preview to answer the questions. Thie video above shows them how.
