This spring, Maine 11th graders will be taking the ATOM Science Assessment. This assessment includes three one-hour testing sessions. The testing schedule for Spring 2023 will be as follows:
Monday, May 22nd:
Blue 2 - PM Region 10 Juniors (Sessions #1-3)
AST - All Non-Region 10 Juniors (Session #1)
Wednesday, May 24th:
AST - All Non-Region 10 Juniors (Session #2)
Blue 2 - AM Region 10 Juniors (Sessions #1-3)
Friday, May 26th:
In Science Classes - All Non-Region 10 Juniors (Session #3)
There will be 3 science testing sessions. It is recommended to administer in order. All sessions, including make-ups, must be completed by close of window May 26th. The 60 minutes per session time is an average time calculated by vendor for students in all 3 grade levels to be able to complete. DOE is in the process of determining whether this be a one hour hard stop versus protocol for students who require a support of ‘extended time’.
In addition to the assessment sessions, there will be the usual student survey questionnaire embedded into the online platform.
Teacher/educator surveys may come separately as a survey TBD
