About the Teacher!
My name is Emily Anders. I graduated from Rider University with an Elementary Education and Psychology degree. I have been a special education teacher for 5 years. Ever since I was very young, I knew teaching was the only career I could see myself doing. I have worked with students of varying ages, from toddlers and kindergarteners, all the way up to sixth graders. I am thankful to have worked with so many children of various ages and abilities.
When I am not teaching or in school, I love to spend time with my friends and family. My favorite movie is Singing in the Rain, while my favorite book is The Secret Garden. I am also a big fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees! I also love going to the beach (when the weather allows me to!), reading my favorite books, and go running so I can be ready to run miles for my students!
I am looking forward to meeting you and your child in the upcoming school year!

Mi nombre es Emily Anders. Me gradué de la Universidad de Rider con un título en Educación Primaria y Psicología. He sido maestra de educación especial durante 5 años. Desde que era muy joven, supe que la enseñanza era la única carrera que me veía haciendo. He trabajado con estudiantes de diferentes edades, desde niños pequeños y niños de kindergarten hasta sexto grado. Estoy agradecida de haber trabajado con tantos niños de diversas edades y habilidades.
Cuando no estoy enseñando o en la escuela, me encanta pasar tiempo con mis amigos y mi familia. Mi película favorita es Cantando bajo la lluvia, mientras que mi libro favorito es El jardín secreto. ¡También soy un gran admirador de los New York Giants y los New York Yankees! También me encanta ir a la playa (¡cuando el clima me lo permite!), leer mis libros favoritos y salir a correr para estar lista para correr millas para mis alumnos.
