Welcome! My name is Lauren McClellan, and I’m so excited to meet you! I am a proud graduate of Rowan University, where I earned degrees in Theatre and English Education, along with minors in Dance and Psychology. I have been teaching for more than eighteen years, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career around something I truly love.
One of my favorite parts of being an educator is having the opportunity to direct plays and musicals alongside my students. This year, I am especially excited to direct our fall production of Puffs and our spring musical, Dear Evan Hansen. I’m looking forward to another memorable season and watching our students bring these two very different shows to life!
I also serve as the lead coach and a board member of the New Jersey Dramatics and Forensics League (NJDFL), where students compete in theatre, speech, and performance events. Last year, our students earned an incredible 124 awards! We also participate in Teen Arts and have our productions adjudicated through programs such as Bergen PAC and Paper Mill Playhouse. This year, we are excited to add the Montclair Foxy Awards to our growing list of opportunities!
When I’m not at school or working on a production, I love spending time with my little family—my husband, Patrick, our dog, Kelce, and our two cats, Luna and Blu. Between school, theatre, and life at home with them, there is rarely a dull moment!

New Jersey Monitor is now state law, and at Lindenwold High School, we call it "Off and Away". The school cell phone ban requires all K-12 public schools to restrict smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and other internet-connected devices from the first bell to the last.
This means that students are not permitted to use any personal electronic devices, especially their phones during school hours. This is a school wide expectation and will be consistently enforced in our classroom.
