Biography

Mrs. Martin began her teaching career in 1990. She has taught grades from kindergarten to high school, but her heart is in second grade. Since joining Glenwood Elementary staff in 2004, she often participates in curriculum development or other assignments for the good of fellow teachers. In 2011, she volunteered to work with a team of teachers to review new Language Arts curriculum for the State of California’s Education Department. Mrs. Martin loves teaching students how to solve problems. She teaches the “whole child” so children leave her classroom with tools for learning success as well as strategies to be the best person possible. Mrs. Martin is a graduate of UC Davis and CSU Stanislaus. She earned her Masters degree in Advanced Teaching Practice in 2012. In 2018, Linden Unified named her Teacher of the Year. In her free time, she enjoys her family, pets, and traveling. She especially loves being a Gran to her granddaughters, Holly Joyce and Ivy Jean.
