2025-2026 Course Request Information
Current 5th grade students interested in signing up for Band need to either complete the Google Form above OR turn the paper form into Central Elementary no later than Wedensday, April 9, 2025. Completing this form means that your child is commiting to Band for the entire 25-26 school year.
No other course requests are needed for students entering 6th grade.
Students new to Band can click the link above for more information on selecting & ordering an instrument.
7th Grade Band Sign-Up (25-26 School Year)
Current 6th grade students had the opportunity to sign up for Band in early March. If you missed the sign-up period, but are are still interested in joining Band for 7th grade, please contact your school counselor.
No experience is needed to sign up for 7th grade Band. Signing up for Band means that your child is committing to Band for the entire 25-26 school year.
No other course requests are needed for students entering 7th grade.
8th Grade Exploratory Sign-Up (25-26 School Year)
Current 7th grade students had the opportunity to complete course requests in early March. They were able to select Band (Full Year) , Spanish (Full Year), Yearbook (Quarter 1 through Quarter 3), and/or Business & Gaming (Quarter-Long) for the 2025-2026 school year.
Students are only able to select one full year elective, so please select only your top priority if you're interested in both Band and Spanish.
Note: Spanish is a high school level class. Students are required to be on the honor roll (As & Bs) or obtain teacher permission in order to take Spanish I. If you are not an Honor Roll student, but are still interested in taking Spanish I, please see Mrs. Kubiak or your school counselor to discuss.
Completing this form does NOT guarantee a spot in these classes.

Mental Health Apps
Apps can be a great resource to help students manage stress and utilize healthy coping strategies. Check out some of these awesome options!
Calm: Uses guided meditations, sleep stories, breathing exercises, and relaxing music to help you cope with stress and anxiety
Calm Harm: Helps you ride out the wave of self-harm until the urge fades. Calm Harm uses the following activities: Comfort, Distract, Express Yourself, Release, Random and Breathe.
Finch: Daily self-care. Take care of your pet by taking care of yourslef.
Happify: Build resilience and gain skills for lasting happiness by overcoming negative thoughts, stress and life's challenges.
Headspace: Focuses on mindfulness and meditation
How We Feel: A well-being journal that allows you to track your emotions over time. You can also learn simple strategies to regulate your emotions in healthy ways.
Mind Shift: Helps you learn how to relax and stresses the importance of changing how you think about anxiety
Pacifica: Provides a toolbox to deal with daily anxiety and stress
