Grade 7:
Students are introduced to the Educational Development Plan (EDP) process and career clusters. They will have the opportunity to begin developing their EDP during their Careers and Communication class.
Grade 8:
Students revisit the EDP process and work on developing their EDP alongside their four-year course plan in their 8th-grade EDP class.
Freshmen:
Students create and/or update their EDP throughout the school year during Eagle Time class. Freshmen also complete a Career Research Project and present on their research during Eagle Time.
Sophomores:
Students continue to create and/or update their EDP in Eagle Time class throughout the year. They will also participate in an Employability Workshop and engage in a related activity to reinforce what they have learned.
Juniors:
Juniors update their EDP in Eagle Time class throughout the year and participate in an Employability Workshop with an associated follow-up activity.
Seniors:
Seniors complete their final EDP updates and the Senior Exit Project during Eagle Time. The project involves developing a Google Slides presentation addressing four key questions:
Who Am I?
Personal accomplishments, interests, skills, abilities, values, background
Where Am I Going?
Job awareness, career pathways, labor market trends, postsecondary plans, employment, entrepreneurship, military options
How Do I Get There?
Plan of action, goals, skills development, apprenticeships, work-based learning opportunities
Who Can Help?
Family, friends, teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, employers, and networks
The Senior Exit Project aims to encourage self-reflection, evaluation of career options, and creation of a detailed, adaptable plan for life after high school. The emphasis is on developing lifelong skills to navigate change rather than solely focusing on the final product.
Once the students' presentations have been scheduled, parents/guardians will receive an invitation with the date and time to attend their student’s presentation.
Virtual, Online, EMC, Dual Enrolled, and GCI students are required to have an Educational Development Plan (EDP) and update it annually.
Students Without Eagle Time on Their Schedule:
If a student does not have Eagle Time scheduled, they are expected to work independently to complete their EDP updates and, for seniors, the Senior Exit Project.
All necessary resources and assignments will be provided through the student’s class Google Classroom.
Students are expected to check their Class Google Classroom at least twice per week and complete all assigned tasks by the given deadlines.
If a student needs assistance or has any questions, they can contact Mrs. Fuller at hfuller@lindenschools.org or visit her in room G117, located in the English hallway, or by phone at 810-591-0457.

From the welcome screen, click on your child’s grade/school under Your Demo Account.
Each demo is tailored by grade level, so if you have multiple children, each experience may look a little different.
You can take assessments, try a lesson, explore careers, and more—just like your student!
Use Xello as a springboard for conversations about your child’s future. Try asking:
“What did you learn about yourself in Xello?”
“Why did that career stand out to you?”
“What surprised you about your top matches?”
“What are some different pathways to reach your goals?”
These conversations help build confidence and clarity as students plan for life beyond school.
