Apple Distinguished School

Last October, we were notified by Apple of our designation as an Apple Distinguished School for the years, 2019-2022. When I first became Principal in July 2018, I met with the technology teacher, Mrs. Kefalas, and we hurriedly applied the following month, in August 2018. That year, we were unable to achieve our goal.
Last October, we were notified by Apple of our designation as an Apple Distinguished School for the years, 2019-2022. When I first became Principal in July 2018, I met with the technology teacher, Mrs. Kefalas, and we hurriedly applied the following month, in August 2018. That year, we were unable to achieve our goal.
However, once we were notified two months later, I decided to convene a team, called the "Apple Leadership Team" and along with our Technology Teacher, we brought in additional staff members, met with Mr. Paul Vassak from Apple, and immediately got to work. After a year reflection, intense focus, and action, we applied once again, and were notified we received the designation. We are one of only 535 schools globally that posses this distinction.

Every week, staff members receive the weekly digital newsletter, "Tiger Talk", which informs them of upcoming events, offers instructional insights, strategies for technology integration, and addresses managerial concerns. The platform which is currently used to produce this is Google Sites. A few examples of the newsletter are featured below.
