High school cheerleading is a sport so it does require quite a time commitment and serious dedication to the team. While having fun is important, the priority of the program is to train athletes to excel at their sport in competition and in game day performance while always promoting a sense of school spirit and Flyer Pride! Training includes weight lifting and conditioning as well as team practices during the week. It is also highly encouraged that all LHS cheerleaders attend tumbling classes or private lessons starting as soon as possible as tumbling is an important section of competition scores. The schedule is generally 3-4 days per week except for special events such as Homecoming and competition which may require 5 days.
Team bonding such as “squad sisters”, team dinners, sleepovers, summer party, holiday party, competition days, Varsity team away games, end of the year banquet, service opportunities, and more!
