About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and mental health advocate within the intersection of complex trauma, race, culture, and identity. As a second-generation, bilingual, Vietnamese American, and eldest daughter of immigrant parents, I have witnessed the challenges and experiences of navigating cultural nuances. 

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Roger Williams University and a Master of Social Work from Boston University. I have worked in multiple settings, including community health centers, domestic violence community programs, and inpatient psychiatric units.

I completed an internship at DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended), Inc, where I received training in supportive counseling, crisis intervention, safety assessments, and advocacy. I designed, promoted, and co-facilitated domestic violence psychoeducation and time-limited, closed-ended support groups.

I also interned at Cambridge Health Alliance in the Victim of Violence (VOV) program, where I was trained in conducting individual psychosocial evaluations, providing trauma-informed psychotherapy, and safety planning. I participated in Acute Crime Intervention Seminars, Trauma Seminars, Outpatient Psychiatry Department Case Conferences, and VOV interdisciplinary team meetings, where new evaluations of patients were assigned and completed evaluations were presented.

As a trauma survivor, I understand how brave one must be to dive into therapy and begin the journey of healing. My hope is that through our work together, you will feel stronger, more hopeful, self-assured, empowered, appreciated, and in control of your life.
