LCO has a private Facebook group for players only. Requests to join must be approved by group administrators.
Concert attire will be all black, semi-formal to formal attire. Please do not wear a tuxedo. If you're wearing a button-up shirt, it should be long sleeved. If a tie is worn, it should be all black, with no logos. Dress or blouse tops should have at least capped sleeves. Footwear can be closed or open toe, as long as it is semi-formal or formal. Hosiery is optional. If you're wearing socks, they should be all black, with no logos. Your attire should be comfortable and not impede your ability to play your instrument.
Keep conversation and phone usage to a minimum during rehearsal.
Regular and consistent attendance is paramount to the success of the group. The LCO Board of Directors has established the following guidelines for all players:
Players must attend a minimum of 50% of the rehearsals to be included in the program and be allowed to perform, for each concert. If a player is unable to meet this minimum threshold, they are asked not to perform in that concert.
Section leaders must attend a minimum of 75% of all rehearsals to hold a leadership role for each concert.
Dress rehearsals should not be missed as auditorium time is limited.
Reporting absences is the responsibility of the player.
Community members should use the Rehearsal Absence Form to report absences.
Wesleyan students should email Mr. Salistean.
Music, when printed from imslp.org, can be recycled following the concert.
Music, when handed out by LCO, should be returned the day of the concert. Rehearsal markings need to be erased. LCO may fine players if purchased or rented music is not returned.
