Welcome!!!  I am so excited to be a part of your educational journey!  You will quickly see that I absolutely love what I do.  My goal is to share my passion of reading, writing and critical thinking with you!  Let's do this!

My education background- This is my 10th year at North Lincoln Middle School.  Prior to teaching at NLMS, I taught for 9 years in Rockville Centre, NY.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master of Science degree in Reading Education.  I am certified in Middle Grades for English Language Arts, Social Studies (6-9) and Reading (K-12) as well as Elementary (K-6) ,Special education (K-12) and AIG- Academically and Intellectually Gifted. 

My personal world-  I was born and raised on Long Island, NY where I began my teaching career.  In 2003, my husband, sons and I moved to Denver, NC.  My hobbies include running, fitness, yoga, doing puzzles and of course, reading.  Although I am bit of a health nut, I would live on peanut butter and chocolate if I could!  

My family-    My three sons have all attended North Lincoln Middle School and NL High School.  Connor, my youngest, is beginning at NC State this year.  My older boys, Brian and Jason, are twins.  They currrently attend Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennesse where they are working on their MBAs  and compete on the cross country and track teams.  I also have a sweet springer spaniel names Brady.  (Yes, I am surrounded by all boys.... and love it!  )
