Welcome to the Lincoln Green Space!
The Lincoln High School ecology class is working to reclaim the site of a burnt down building to create a green space for our community. We have cleaned the area of debris, contacted contractors, and presented a blueprint and plans to the Chamber of Commerce. The space has been opened and our first community work day is scheduled for March 13, 2020. We hope to complete tuck pointing and ground work leveling the back portion and laying pavers by May 2, 2020 when we will host a community pot luck and Ribbon Cutting. This is the first of many potential beautification opportunities in Lincoln. With this dinner, we hope to raise the final amount needed to complete this space, bring the community together and encourage our community members to be more involved in Lincoln.
We are currently writing for grants, selling T-shirts and looking other avenues of financial support for our community project. The class and local Chamber have planned a free-will donation dinner on Main Street Saturday, May 2, 5 - 7 pm. Find out more by visiting our fundraiser page; we will sell t-shirts as well as accepting donations.
