Many people, including parents and educators, are talking to young people about race, racism, and being antiracist but are not always sure of how to do this well. The following resources are meant to help in these conversations. The first section is geared towards adults. The second section includes books that adults could read with young people or that young people could read themselves, which highlight protagonists of color or are explicitly about racialized experiences. We always suggest that adults read a book or watch a video without a child first, to make sure it feels right for you and your child's developmental stage. We also acknowledge that children's books are nearly always good for everyone--including adults, so please do not hesitate to engage with this content no matter your age.
