Meet the Teachers:
Meet the Teachers:
Kathryn is in her 15th year of teaching and has been at HMS since 2014. She is a certified 5-8 ELA teacher and K-12 Literacy Specialist. She is the mom of two boys, Evan (6) and Ethan (5). Kathryn loves reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Sarah begins her 22nd year of teaching and has been at Hanscom Middle School for the past 20 years. Previously a 5th grade teacher, Sarah is in her fifth year teaching 6th Grade Mathematics. Sarah loves spending time with her family as well as playing games, reading, and completing puzzles.

Sarah is in her 11th year of teaching, this is her 6th year at Hanscom. Previous to Hanscom, she lived and taught English in Seoul, South Korea for two years. She has two children, Jamie (2) and Ginny (9 mo). When not teaching, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, going to the beach (especially Cape Cod), being active with her kids, and taking care of her cat and dog.
Katie is in her 18th year teaching. This is her 5th year at Hanscom Middle School. She was born and raised in Florida, but grew up visiting family in Massachusetts. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling, and watching sports and Broadway shows.
Chris Damon is in her 13th year of teaching and 4th year at HMS. She is a certified K-12 Spanish and Social Studies teacher. She grew up in Massachusetts but has also lived and worked in Vermont, Nicaragua and El Salvador. She and her partner enjoy hiking, traveling and gardening. She has a son Javier (20) in college.
Asya Shestopal
Special Education
Asya is in her 32nd year teaching and in her 21st year at Hanscom. She grew up oversees and speaks 4 languages. Asya lives with her husband and two sons. She loves playing with her two dogs, reading, practicing yoga, doing creating projects and traveling.
