About Your Library Media Specialist

Mrs. Duris 

I am in my 5th year as a library media specialist, but my 22nd year of teaching- I can't believe it! (I was a health teacher for 16 years.) I am passionate about learning, the outdoors, and living a healthy lifestyle.

 I tend to have a "glass is half full" outlook, trying to find the positive in the most challenging situations. I also love to travel, spend time with friends and family (and my cats and dog!), and eat tasty food. I am an avid hiker, biker, and Nordic skier, and a little bit of runner and yogi. 

You may also find me at the Gypsy Cafe, a restaurant my husband runs as the chef/owner. Ultimately, I enjoy helping and engaging my students as well as creating connections and building relationships.
