Summer reading will be held from Monday, June 1st through Saturday, August 8th

Requirements for Online Participation

  1. Join the Summer Reading Google Classroom (LCHS email address) - ejjehc6
  2. Read for 2 hours a week (See below for reading material guidelines.)
  3. Must submit the Summer Reading Log Form on Google Classroom every week (Sunday - Saturday) or hand in the paper copy to Ms. Campbell on the first day of school. You may submit more than one online log per week.
  4. Bonus Points will be awarded to students who read a book(s) off of the Top 10 Book Suggestion List.
  5. All students who participate will have the opportunity to win a prize. Weekly prizes will be awarded throughout the summer and grand prizes at the beginning of the school year.

  1. Join the Summer Reading program by emailing Ms. Campbell to register.
  2. Read for 2 hours a week (See below for reading material guidelines.)
  3. Must submit the Summer Reading Log Forms (paper copy) to Ms. Campbell on the first day of school.

  • Books (Top 10 Book Suggestion List or Free Choice)
    • All formats (Physical, Ebook, Audiobook, Graphic Novel)
  • Fanfiction
  • Magazine Articles
  • Newspaper Articles
  • News Articles online (Google/Yahoo)

Not Approved Reading Material Types

  • Any Social Media post
  • Phone messages
  • Emails

Grand Prizes

1st Prize: $100 Gift Cards (only those who have read 9 or 10 weeks are eligible) (3 will be awarded)

2nd Prizes: Parking Pass or Free Homecoming and Vice Versa dance tickets (2 will be awarded)

3rd Prizes: $15 in food fair tickets (1 will be awarded)

Ebook Resources

LCHS have several ebook titles which can be found through the library catalog. You can read them directly on your computer or mobile device after checking them out. Titles include: Catching Fire, Daughter of Smoke & Bone, The Devil in the White City, and several others.

The purpose of the Library is to help our students and staff to become active and effective users of information, promote a lifelong love of reading and learning, and to provide materials that support the academic goals of Limestone Community High School.
