Message from the head of primary school

Dear Lighthouse Primary School Parents,

At the end of another week we would like to thank you all for your support. I would also like to take this time to say thank you to our dedicated teacher and all the staff who make Lighthouse special.

Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to Shannon Wakefield, our newly appointed Educational Psychologist at Lighthouse. Please join her on the educational blog as she explores Effective and Reciprocal Communication, fostering a collaborative environment for learning and growth. With her expertise in psychological assessment and her passion for holistic well-being, Ms Shannon is dedicated to supporting our school children and families through psycho-educational assessments, as well as transdisciplinary collaboration - enabling our school to help our children develop into successful young adults.

We had such a great time celebrating the National Day on the 7th March. Please check our National Day page to see the highlights of the day!

See you at tonight's Family Picnic!

We are very excited about welcoming you at our Family Picnic, kicking off at 17:30 today (Friday). What better way to end your week? All families are welcome to come and enjoy the evening with us - and feel free to invite friends outside of our school community. Bring along your picnic blankets and supper, and let's enjoy a night of fun together while the children play to their heart's content! The picnic usually ends by 20:30.

Semaine de la Francophonie at Lighthouse!

We will be celebrating French Week from 18-22 March at Lighthouse. Be ready for a Dress up Day on 20 March, followed by a picnic during French classes organised by the French Teachers. More details to follow.

Please note that the date for our Family Fun Day has been moved to Saturday the 20th of April. Please save the date! More details to come!

Warm regards,

Hannes van der Westhuysen
