Dear Lighthouse Primary School Parents
We are so thankful for a great full week at school. The children have enjoyed all the activities and are settling into the new classrooms and routines. As we strive to deliver a better service to our parents and build a stronger community, we are working on further improving our communication structures. Please note our communications channels and key contacts below.
We are thankful to Mrs. Janine Langheim our new Communications lead for her role in driving communication forward at Lighthouse.
This week, we had the pleasure of meeting with our fantastic CPLs who are in the process of setting up WhatsApp groups to enhance our communication efforts. While Lighthouse will continue to primarily communicate through our newsletters and emails, CPLs will utilize the WhatsApp groups to send reminders about school or class-specific events. These groups also serve as a platform to foster community among parents. Please be sure to review the group rules once they are established.
Thank you to all our parents who attended our Wednesday evening parent connect. We hope that the information shared with you will help as we grow together at Lighthouse.
Have a great weekend!

Sponsorship Opportunity
We're excited to announce that we'll be hosting the AMIS Teacher's Conference on Saturday, February 17th, and we're expecting 250 teachers from across Mauritius to join us for a day of equipping and networking. To ensure that this event is accessible to as many teachers as possible, we're committed to keeping costs down.
If you're in a position to sponsor items like spot prizes, lanyards, pens, notebooks, or non-perishable refreshments for the conference, we would greatly appreciate your contribution. Please reach out to me directly via email before Monday, February 12th. Your support will greatly impact the success of our event. Thank you for considering our request.
Dengue Fever
Due to the increased cases of Dengue fever, students will temporarily refrain from participating in Farm Lab and Forest School activities.
Please apply mosquito repellent to your children in the mornings and consider sending some to school for reapplication. Remember our fever-free policy: students with temperatures of 37.7 °C or higher should stay home until their fever subsides without medication.
House T-shirts
We are very sorry to announce that due to incorrect T-shirt colours, we are not able to sell any AMARE and FIDEM T-shirts at the moment. We will let you know when stock arrives for the correct House T-shirts.
Ed-Admin
Please be reminded to download, activate and familiarise yourself with the Ed-Admin app (named Edana Parent Portal) as soon as possible. Activation code: 111966
If you are a new parent and cannot log in on the Ed-Admin App, we highly recommend you try logging in through the web browser https://lighthouse.ed-space.net/login.cfm before downloading the app. If you're struggling to download and log into the Ed-Admin app, please email ict@lighthouse.edu.mu for assistance.
